Q. Can I buy matching accessories?
Yes, there is a wide range of accessories available to enable you to install, and make the most of your Myson towel warmer or design radiator. These are all detailed in our catalogue and in the accessory pages of this website.
Q. What do you mean by “APM” in your Innoko and Multirail towel warmers?
“Auto Power Management” system. This cutting edge technology means that the element has no thermostat, but is self-regulated and only uses the power it needs to get to temperature. Once there, it reduces its power consumption so that it always uses the optimum amount of energy.
Q. Can the Innoko kitchen rail be used in other rooms?
Yes, the Innoko is ideal for any room where you don’t want heating, just towel drying or airing. Whether it is an en-suite, cloak room, shower room or a bathroom with underfloor heating, the Innoko provides the ideal solution. The unique brackets mean it can be fitted either to a cabinet, or onto a wall.
Q. What if I don’t have central heating?
Myson also offer a wide range of 'electric only' products to suit all applications. The same quality and craftsmanship goes into your product, but instead of fitting it to a heating system, it is merely wired into your mains. Always consult an electrician to ensure that the installation meets the required standards.
Q. Can I use my towel warmer in the summer too?
Yes, if you buy an additional dual fuel heater kit for your product. The heater kit comes with an element and t-piece ready for you to fit to your product, so that in the summer when your heating is switched off, the electric element is used to heat the unit, so you can still enjoy the comfort and convenience of warm, dry towels.
Q. Do I need to worry about dezincification?
In certain areas, the local water can gradually remove zinc from brass alloys. This process is called dezincification and, on rare occasions and over time, can affect the integrity of a brass product. All Myson brass products are manufactured using dezincification resiatant brass. This, however, does not entirley eliminate the possibility of dezincification occurring. Myson insist that you ask your heating engineer/installer if this problem applies to your area, as Myson can not be held responsible for any resulting damage.
Q. Can a Myson towel warmer or designer radiator be fitted onto any heating system?
All units made of steel can be fitted onto an open-vented, sealed central heating system. Additionally, the units manufactured from brass can also be fitted onto the domestic hot water system.
Q. How can I keep my unit in pristine condition?
Clean with a warm, mild soapy water solution. Do not use any abrasive cleaning solutions, as these may permanently damage the finish.
Q. Where can I buy a Myson towel warmer or designer radiator?
Call our customer services department on 0845 4023434 and we will advise you of the nearest showroom or supplier. Alternatively email sales@myson.co.uk.
Q. What if I only know my heat requirement in Watts?
Multiply the Btu/hr figure given in the catalogue by 0.293 to convert it to Watts.
Q. What if I don’t know the heat requirement?
As a rule of thumb, if you take the length x width x height of the room in feet, giving you a “cubic feet” figure, multiply this by 50, and it will give you an approximate requirement in Watts. However this is an approximation and you should still have the heat requirement calculated by your installer.
Q. Will my towel warmer also heat the room?
It all depends on the model you choose. The higher the Watt figure quoted in the catalogue, the more heat will be given off into the room. Remember that if the unit is covered with wet towels, the heat will be used to dry them, so not much heat will go into the room.
